Back end sales
What is a back end sale? This is a very important concept for marketers. Back end sales are those sales that come from following up with customers. These follow ups are targeted to get those customers who have already bought to purchase additional products. This is a strategy that is well worth your while if you are marketing on the internet (or in the real world for that matter). Generating a customer takes resources - time, energy and money. If all you get out of that customer is one sale, then you are constantly looking for the new sale, new customer. However, if you keep in touch with customers who have bought your product and offer them additional products, you have a pool of individuals who have already demonstrated that they are interested in your products and that they are willing to buy them. You start to build a relationship and trust and they buy more. Or a percentage of these buy additional and even more expensive items. Dont overlook the power of the backend sale in your marketing efforts.
