Resources for Starting a Business in New Hampshire
Starting a Business in New Hampshire I was looking for information on how to start a business and I found out about the following resources to help you get started in NH. I talked with the Secretary of State’s Office and they let me know that there is not one agency that can help you with all that you will need to get set up and running your business. The Secretary of State’s Office can help you with registering your business name and some information about filing for different company statuses. They have been working closely with Revenue Services and the SBA (Small Business Administration) to make things a little easier for folks and both Revenue and the SBA hold informational meetings at the Sec. of State’s office periodically. They recommended getting in touch with the SBA for good information and resources for getting started in businesses in NH. As I mentioned before the New Hampshire Secretary of State can provide you with information on:
• Trade name registration
• Limited partnership and Limited liability partnerships filings and information
• Corporate filings, including articles of incorporation, and information on corporations
• Limited liability company (LLC) filings, including articles of organization, and information on LLCs The main SBA Office in New Hampshire is located:

NH State Labor Law information is available from the NH Department of Labor. Inforamtion they can help you with include:
• New Hampshire wage-hour laws
• New Hampshire child labor laws and regulations

There are several Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) located throughout New Hampshire to assist you. These centers, usually located on college campuses and can provide you with start-up information and counseling. They often have business related seminars or workshops that you can take advantage of. They also are aware of other resources that may be able to assist you. Contact the office below for information, and/or for the location of an SBDC near you.
